HOW IS A PURCHASE
MADE?

goes to the merchant's check out web page, they are given the option to
pay by check. The customer will then be directed to CrossCheck's
Authorization Center. The customer will answer a few questions and then
fill in a blank check that appears on the screen.
The check
information is then sent electronically to CrossCheck for authorization.
Check approval occurs in seconds. The merchant then has the option of
printing the check immediately or on-demand on their printer. Merchandise
can be shipped immediately - no need to wait for the check to
clear!
HOW DOES CHECKSBYNET WORK WITH EXISTING
SOFTWARE?
Customers are totally unaware that they are
interacting with CrossCheck because the ChecksByNet program is invisible
and completely self-supporting. It overlays the store's existing
electronic payment system. The only indication to the customer that there
is any change is a small security flag that will appear at the bottom of
their web browser.
